OK, guys– so this is my dog, Barkley. Isn’t he just freaking adorable?? After this extremely traumatic photo sesh, he wouldn’t let me pick him up for hours. He kept running away from me like, “NOOOOO MOM, NO MORE TINSEL AND BOWS!” I think I have forever traumatized him. But oh well, it was totally worth it, right? I mean, seriously super presh pic.
Anyhow, I know what you’re thinking right now: IT’S NOT MONDAY YET. And you’re right– it’s not Monday. In fact, it’s Sunday. CHRISTMAS SUNDAY. And– well, I’ll keep it short, but I have just one thing to share with you today, and it comes straight from my beautiful blogger friend, Aletheia at accordingtoaletheia.com. (You know you’ve somehow become a “real blogger” when you start having internet friends. I have a ton of internet friends now, and I love it. Totally nerdy, right?)
Anyways, Aletheia sent me the most beautiful e-mail last week– in fact, it actually made me cry. The last sentence was just beautiful, and I wanted to share it with you all because– well, because it’s true of each & every one of us.
I only changed one word in this sentence– see if you can guess which one.
You are a gift, [Sweet Honey Child]. And so is that which you offer. But you– yourself, just as you are. That’s the real gift.
(Yep, that’s right! I changed “Therese” to “Sweet Honey Child” ;-)
Anyways, it’s true, you guys.
You– yourself, just as you are.
You are a gift.
You are so unimaginably worthy & beautiful & insanely amaze-freaking-balls. (That sounds kind of gross, but I think it’s actually a good thing. Being amaze-balls, that is.)
Don’t you forget it.
And if you’re ever feeling alone, today or any day, read this here.
